Summers in Tulum are incredibly hot and humid, and this is also Atlantic Hurricane Season (which runs June 1-November 30 each year).

Being right on the Caribbean Sea, Tulum is susceptible, though direct hit hurricanes in Tulum are rare.

While summers are very hot, April and May also tend to be especially brutal — and even local dread these months.

However, these months are outside of the high tourist season (November to March). While the Tulum busy season of November to March have great weather, prices are inflated and the beaches are crowded.
