Welcome, I’m Shelley Marmor…
I got my BA degree in journalism from the University of Central Florida in 2003, and worked as a journalist for 15 years, including 9 years as a Miami travel magazine editor.
In 2018, I sold everything I owned, and set off to travel the world. My first stop was Mexico City, where I fell in love at first sight — and basically, I never left Mexico.
To date, I’ve visited 23 out of 32 states (many as a solo female traveler), and lived in several places, including Mexico City, Oaxaca City, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Huatulco and Mérida.
At this point, you might say I’m a Mexpert!
Through my four travel blogs (Travel To Merida, Travel To Oaxaca, Travel Mexico Solo, and this one), and my Dream To Destination podcast, I dispel Mexico travel misinformation to paint a real picture of this country.
