To use it, head to the main road in Downtown Tulum, and make sure you’re on the south side of the street.
Hop on the colectivo (shared van) heading to Coba, and as you get on, let the driver know you’re going to El Gran Cenote so they can let you off there.
3. Hire a private driver or take a taxi
If you’re not renting a car, taking a taxi or hiring a private taxi driver is the next best option. Expect to pay roughly $200-300 MXN pesos (about $12-17 USD) each way from downtown Tulum to Gran Cenote.
If you’re hiring a private driver, they’ll wait for you at the cenote. If you’re taking a taxi, see if you can work out a deal where they wait for you, or try to schedule a pickup ahead of time.
